Egg contamination

Hi I am currently on day 15 of incubation I did candling on day 1 and thought everything looked good. I just came across some pictures in the learning center and now I think my eggs look like the pictures that say they are contaminated I don't know how to be sure do I just wait to see if they hatch?

Glad you could join the flock! By day 15 your eggs should be looking pretty full of chick by now. Have you candled during incubation to check for development? Have seen movement in your eggs? Have you seen any veins? I would leave your eggs for now at re candle on day 18 when it should be lockdown.

Why do you think they are contaminated? What did you see when you candled? At this stage you should see lots of black blobs in the eggs along with the air cell at the top of the egg.

Are any of your eggs, cracked or oozing a putrid mess? Those are BAD stink eggs.

Hello and Welcome To BYC! If you can take pictures of the eggs while you are candling them, people may be able to help you figure out what is going on in the Hatching Eggs forum. https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/5/incubating-hatching-eggs Otherwise if you can't figure out what is going on with candling (dark eggs are really hard to tell sometimes), X2 if any of them are leaking or stink etc, be sure to take them out, and just leave the rest of them...good luck with the hatch!
