Egg count

I read a thread a while ago about the egg count on ducks. It listed each duck and the average number of eggs each will lay. Is there anything like this for hens?

Henderson's Breed Chart doesn't narrow it to a number, but it rates each breeds prolificacy.

How many eggs do you get a day? I was told that I would get maybe one egg a day. Someone else said I could get 2-4 eggs a day. I have orpingtons, brahmas, cochin, and ameraucanas. I was told they are all good layers. I sure hope so.

I think I have gotten 2 eggs from one bird all of twice in the last two years. They start out laying one a day and 5 a week is considered to be very good.
Did you mean 2-4 for the whole flock?

Some hatcheries will list an average number laid per year.
