Egg currently hatching at wrong end?

I have a gambel quail egg that is currently trying to hatch, the shell had significant damage during an accident a week ago and still kept developing so it was left and is now hatching near the area that was damaged, doesn't seem to be making much more progress. What do I do? Does he/she look okay?

You can help it with tweezers, I always wait for several hours before interfering.
