Egg Custard - UPDATE PICS Its done!!!

Anybody make egg custard before? Saw it on the Kate plus 8 chicken show and decided to try it. I got the mixture all mixed up and just waiting for the oven to heat up. We'll see how this turns out.

When one of my little chicks was just hatched it wouldn;t eat anything and as the days went on of course we worried. They can only go so far on what they got from the egg! - Anyhow on the 4th day after it was hatched we had egg custart tarts - and we looked at each other and thought I wonder ????????????? Sure enough that wee chick loved it and after that has not forgotten what her beak is for! When your finished - send some this way! I have a wee chick who loves it!!!!!!!

Yummmmmmmmm!!!!!Thanks for idea!!! - - - I have a bunch of berries thawed out and custard will be the perfect dessert!!

It's still cool here in the PNW so I don't mind firing up the stove~ ~ I love to bake and cook....dessert is my favorite!

Now do you eat this cold or warm? Never made one or had one before, but it smells so yummy!

ETA: The specks on top is ground nutmeg.

I absouletly love egg custard.....you can eat it warm or cold. My favorite is cold.

I have been thinking about making some the other day.

It's one of my favorite things to make and eat. I usually bake mine in a pie shell...yummy!
