Egg deformities, what dose it mean?

Hello, I have 2 out of my 4 Light Sussex Hens laying strange eggs. ONe looks like it have been scratched before it was fully formed, the other is a long egg that is banded by a bulge and has little round ball like shell deposits on them.
Dose anyone know what it means and what to do?

Hi

Are your hens new layers? Sometimes it can take them a while to get their laying machines in full working order. Often a few funky looking eggs can be produced in that time.

Oh, hello. The hens are about 4 years old and have been laying for about 2 and a half years. This season they have been laying for 3 weeks and had not been like this, I have noticed that they are a little pale in comparison.

You are most welcome

As your hens are a little older this could also be a cause of your funky eggs. Just as with new layers not having a fully working egg machine older hens machines can decline with age and cause odd eggs.
