Egg delivery to my kitchen?

When I was growing up, my dad owned an auto body shop that was next to our house. It was near a small town, so there was a regular group of guys who would hang out there and come in twice a day to test Mom's patience and drink her coffee. But, one of the other highlights was that, despite the crowd and the noise of grinders and such, Shirley, a black hen of undetermined breed, would hop onto Dad's workbench almost daily to lay her egg. None of the other hens even entered the shop; Shirley was the star of her own show.

The animal vs human smart ratio is tremendous here like animals got the Pple beat by a long shot lol.. But I do have eight hens doing the tap dancing squat every time I come within four feet of them but there's another Phenomenon going on around here it's a whole nother thread but I have a chicken herding cat named Olliver who anythingnormally kills anything an everything like straight up assassin not even serial killer but these five month old birds? Safe.. Don't know how don't know why and the cat interacts with me couping them at night he heels the back side for me like a livestock dog would with sheep and those are his babies but any other winter furred it scaled creature beware... Follow his phone on f.b. Olliver the chicken herding cat
