Egg down!!!!!

I have a cute pair of Muscovy ducks. My female waddles has already laid and is now sitting. I went to check on her today and i notice she didn't have the right amount of eggs in her nest as she did yesterday. She was missing one and then I notice it fell our of the nest. It was cold but I put it back. My question is since the egg was on the ground last night well it still hatch???

As long as the temperature was not excessively cold there, it may still be viable. How long has the hen been setting ? The longer the egg has been incubated the greater the chance of viability.

It's been about a week now. This is her first time if that makes any difference.

Worth a try, pop it back under her and candle in a few days for any sign of life.

I did and it must have fell last night. I check on her everyday because we had a chicken snake go in there and it ate some of her eggs. I'm just glad i found it on the ground. I really do hope it will hatch.
