egg eater. but not her own

Is this normal. i come across this bird eating an egg so i grabed her and put her all by herself. She has laid 3 eggs and has not eaten them. Is it that they just dont eat there own eggs... jim

It's possible that she only eats eggs that are already broken. I don't think they care who laid them.

Mine will eat eggs that have broken, but not break them themselves. I don't know why.. They just don't. :/

This bird i saw it peck and eat this egg. Im on the hunt for the egg eaters. I get 5 or so eggs aday that have been eaten. just seems funny.... i will keep doing what im doing and try and get the rest of them........jim
