Egg eating chicken

My hen who is laying soft shelled eggs out of the blue is now eating her eggs...I'm very confused by this because since she has started laying almost a year ago she has been my best layer. How do I get her to stop??? I put out oyster shells for my older ones cause I have all my peeps on starter food until my younger ones are 16 weeks. She doesn't seem interested in the oyster shell anymore. Any advice to get her to stop eating her eggs would be greatly appreciated.

My hens have eaten their eggs off and on. I have found out a few causes of why: One morning I was gone most of the day and came home to an empty feeder. There were wet eggshells on the floor of the nesting boxes. So one tip is to be sure the feeder is always full. Also, I have found that boredom can be a cause of egg eating. So keep the chickens busy with other and better things! I don't know if that helps, but let me know how you are doing with her.
