I have never heard of concrete eggs, and I've been around chickens my whole life (which from the sound of things here, is far enough back to be your grandmother's time ). I've heard of ceramic eggs, and glass eggs, and resin eggs, and plastic eggs, and rubber eggs, but never concrete eggs. And what does showing birds have to do with artificial eggs? They very, very seldom will peck at something hard enough to damage their beaks, LOL!

And, as for the signature line, I hope you have figured out how to prevent losses to fox attacks, or do so before you get more chooks.
