EGG EATING, HELP!!!

I saw it happen a couple of times at the end of it and the egg shell was there every time.
Was the egg shell good and thick, or thinner and thus easy to break?
Are they only eating the insides of the eggs then?

Higher protein feed...and/or some animal protein(mealworms, scrambled eggs, canned mackerel) a coupe times a week.

I have started mealworms and they now have free choice oyster shell and haven’t touched them yet. They were good eggs that they pecked through. Now one of the girls eggs is getting really really soft but the other 2 still have good solid eggs.

The picture below is what I found in her nest today. She stayed in her nest for over 2 hours today. She isn’t feeling good I can tell. She actually let me pick her up without making a noise or move, also while her eyes were basically closed. She let me look under her wing without any resistance and when I sat her back down she closed her eyes immediately.

Mine will do it if they are needing more protein, they stopped as soon as they got the needed protein so I switched em from layer feed to flock raiser and gave em free choice oyster shell along with giving them a few more meal worms as was always when started cooling off and less bugs for them to get the needed protein. hope this helps

What on earth is that?

Poor thing, I'm so sorry she's feeling poorly. Maybe that is why she has been egg eating?

I have no clue but it doesn’t look good. Maybe so. The other 2 hens are laying perfect large strong eggs and are normal as could be.

Cut that in half and take another pic.
Likely a 'lash egg'.....sign of infection...antibiotics might help.
