Egg eating

I have a pair of call ducks the female laid 2 eggs this morning I found them half eaten would it be the male or the female that is eating them and should I take te male duck away from the female

The best bet is to catch them in the act, or look for which ones may have dried yolk on their faces. I've dealt with egg eating hens and I found it most successful to put fake ceramic eggs in their nest box, eventually they lost interest in pecking at them

If you have any eggs sitting around, you could also place one in the pen and see which go for it, that should solve the mystery quite fast.

It's almost always the female doing this and it can be a very hard habit to break. Is she still eating the eggs?
