egg fertility???

i only let my pekins out of their pen twice a week while i am home on my days off. the pond is outside the pen so they only use it twice a week as well. how long will layed eggs be fertile after the male mounts the female? he only does this in the pond. the females lay an egg a day in the summer months. will the eggs layed between "pond sessions" be fertile until the next time out? reason being, i want to collect some eggs to incubate once they start to lay again.

You should be OK. I believe it's 2 -3 weeks. I know I have picked up eggs about a week and a 1/2 old with no drake with them in that time and have had them fertile.
