Egg has been externally pipped for 24 hours should I intervene?

My cream legbar egg has been pipped for 24 hours now… one hatched yesterday but was in the wrong end so I helped out… I noticed the shells are very thick and I’m worried the chick may be weakening. Could anyone tell me if I should intervene, it’s day 21 btw

How is the chick now? Still having a hard time? Do you have any images? Is the membrane drying out?

He unzipped on his own last night… about an hour after I posted this just a bit of a lazy one I guess! Thank you for checking tho
