I bought 18 eggs online and put them in the incubator when they arrived. They are not supposed to be moved to the Hatcher (incubator without egg turner) until tomorrow, but I heard peeping and went over there and one has pipped a small hole in it's egg and I can see it's beak well. I keep this particular incubator around 25 to 35% humidity. I usually move my eggs to the Hatching incubator on Day 19 and keep the humidity in that one 55 to 75% for hatching. How is it hatching with such low humidity? Should I scoop it out real quick and move it to the other incubator? I have other eggs of varying incubation days in this incubator that need to be turned and I have turned off the turner in case it hatches. It is moving around inside the egg but hasn't made much progress today. Any help is appreciated.

I'd move it asap to an incubator with high humidity. They can pip in low humidity, it is zipping and moving/hatching that is the problem in low humidity since they often get shrink wrapped or stuck.

If your hatcher is warmed up and has warm water in the trays, I'd move it. The turner is not a good place to hatch and as you said, if you have to turn manually, you'll have to open the incubator anyhow.

Dampen a paper towel with warm water and cover the pipped egg as you move it to the hatcher. Pull it back like a sheet just before you close the lid.

The humidity in my hatcher was too high and my turkey poults were still damp and were chilled this morning when I got up. I moved them to the brooder, lowered the lamp a little for 20 minutes, then moved it back up so it casts the normal 95F heat. They dried and warmed within an hour and are now acting like good little turkeys.

I put it in the other incubator and it has made a little progress plus discovered another one with a small hole in the shell as well and peeping like crazy. Candled 9 other good eggs from the bunch and put them in really quick too.
Thank You for your Quick Response!

Just wanted to tell you, within 15 minutes of changing incubators, my chick was completely hatched. GREAT JOB!
