So I got some Mearns Quail eggs. Everything was going well, both eggs have developed nicely, however, my cat in her infinite wisdom decided the incubator was her new napping spot and unplugged it. By the time I noticed, the eggs were cold. I plugged it back in as soon as I could and the eggs got back to being warm. That was on the 20th. The eggs still have veins (still incubating just in case there is hope) and the eggs do not stink, however, there is no sign of pipping.

It would be nice to have some help from people who are more experienced than I. I only started hatching quails last year.

Don't panic, yet! Give 'em a few extra days. A pause in incubation doesn't always mean the developing chick dies. Often it just means hatching is delayed by the amount of time the heat was off and the time it took to jump-start growing again.

EDIT to Add: I don't know how well that applies to quail, but it's been my experience with both chicken and duck eggs.
Good Luck ... and keep us posted!

Quail are surprisingly resilient. Thank you so much for your reply. I have hope. ^_^
