Egg hoarding button!!

my broody female lays themost gorgeous dark dark brown eggs very shiney and a dark as chocolate then i had a female who was laying all brown eggs and once i went in and she had laid a pure white egg with a strange brown circle on the top it was odd never happend again though
 
Well she is on day 14 and still sitting, so looks like we might have some baby buttons soon!

I haven't even separated the last babies I hatched....They are probably 9 weeks old! No one is laying yet though, so they should be okay for a little longer.

when you dont let them hatch the eggs what do you do with them
quail lay pretty small eggs dont they??
are they seasonal layers??

The last group has 16: 6 females, I believe, and the rest males. I could sex these over a month ago, but I always leave them together until they are at least 8 weeks old. These guys will just get to wait a little longer until I can figure out what I'm going to do with them.
