BTW I didn't know you didn't need to refrigerate eggs until they were washed!!

I leave mine on the counter as long as they are dry and not cracked and just wash them before I eat them.

Mine are unwashed and on the counter, in a basket. I like the skelter because if you're careful, you can make sure the oldest are eaten first. Right now I just write the date on my eggs in pencil, but it's not really necessary because we're only getting 3-4/day, and we eat them almost as fast as they're laid.
