Our Americana layer has been producing eggs that have rough calicifications on them, usually at the narrower end of the egg. Is there something in the diet that causes this? Is it painful for the hen to lay eggs like this?

    Thanks!

No, I do not think it is painful for the hen to lay these eggs. They are just small irregularities, nothing really major ... [IMG]
