If you have a broody hatching .... just leave it alone. The mama knows what to do. Don't do anything with the egg / chick.

ETA: It's not a good time to move her. She could then abandoned the nest, if moved. IMO I would suggest just leaving her.

I am leaving her alone. I am trusting the egg will hatch on its own..I mean my friend never gives his chickens oyster shell so it cant be that hard..lol! I am so eggcited! He and his three children are eggcited and may come back early from Truman Lake because of the impending hatch!

Are you removing the egg out from under the hen to listen? If so, it can decrease the humidity that the chick needs to hatch.

Thats what I thought earlier today I heard the chirping when i stepped in the coop but maybe it is resting...I hope to have a baby by morning, one within two more days and if the last one is ok it will be a week to nine days behind! But then again I am new...so who knows?

No chirping and no cracks....
