Hi all!
My sweet Welsh Harlequin just started laying about two weeks ago. She had been laying an egg every day, but for the past four days or so has not laid any. Should I be worried? What should I do for her?
Thanks for your help!

Most likely just taking a break unless you are noticing other problems like laying around off by herself or not eating drinking spending time in the nest with no egg to show for it.
Do you have oyster shell out and what feed are you using?
Another thing to add to your med chest is Calcium Gluconate which is great to have on hand if you think of possible egg bound. TSC carries it. Anyone with egg layers should have this.

Amazing! Thank you, Miss Lydia!
I have put out some cooked chicken egg shells from my sister’s farm. Is oyster shell better for calcium supplement?
I use the Purina duck pellets! She isn’t by herself, and she’s staying with the flock. She doesn’t appear to have anything wrong with her, but I was worried about her being egg bound just because that was the first google response.
I will get the calcium gluconate. Thank you!!!

You can try getting her to eat the CG over a tasty treat that is the best way to get it down them.

How is she doing?
Update: she’s doing great!!! She is back to laying, and I don’t think she was egg bound. I think she just doesn’t lay EVERY single day, which totally makes sense! Thank you for your help!

It's actually rare for them to lay every day, yup!
