I have a mixed flock including my "egg layers" (isa browns, orpingtons, australorps) and my "pretty girls" (silkies, frizzles, pekins)... for some reason my egg layers are not laying. They should start now as we have entered spring... and they are still young. Maximum 2 years old...
As for my frizzle, she has been laying a few eggs which are darker in colour (see pic).. almost has a greeny tinge to it... and sometimes tastes like fish.
Do you think i have some kind of health issue in my flock?
Other than that, theyre all healthy looking and eating well... (eating red hen and kitchen scraps).

That's not feed, that's scratch. It's only 12% protein content. Combine that with kitchen scraps, and you've got a recipe for protein deficiency. It's also low on calcium. Get them on a proper diet, with a protein content of at least 16% protein content and provide them with some crushed oyster shell for calcium. Hens that don't have enough protein and calcium can't produce eggs.

Sorry... just checked. Its the "red hen layer". Is that better?
