Today is hatch day for some of my quail eggs. But Monday night one of the eggs started to move on its own. It would roll a little bit then bounce like a fish bobber. It's been doing this for THREE days now. Is this normal? It hasn't pipped the shell at all. I've hatched chicken eggs before and never saw one move the egg like this. And it's the only egg moving around. This is my first time hatching quail eggs. I've always gotten them at a day old or older before. So, three days of moving its egg around, no pipping, and it's hatch day. Soooo, just leave it? Is this a bad thing, normal, good? Help! Please!

Just a guess but i would say it probably has some sort of nerve damage or deformity. They can change positions in the shell pretty easily so if its rolling around somethings wrong. Under no circumstances do I recommend assisting a hatch, leave it up to darwin to choose the ones meant to survive and youll end up with healthier birds.
