Egg laid from roost

Not sure if this should go here or in emergencies- but I don't think it's an emergency

My comet who is 1 year old and has never done this laid her egg while she went to roost tonight at bedtime- I thought it was weird but maybe that happens sometimes- has anyone ever had this happen before ?

Yup. Somebody here does it about once a month. Not to worry.

One of our girls did it while a broody was in one of the nest boxes, we moved the broody and it didn't happen again.

I have had it happen when they were pullets a couple of times.
