Egg layed with a large black / brown chunk in the yolk.

I have 5 female chickens: 2 buckeyes,(2yrs old) 2 black austrolorps (3yrs old) and 1 black sex link( age unknown, but older). Does anyone know what this is? Thanks!

I wonder if it's possible that it's a dried old egg yolk inside a fresh egg yolk?

As soon as I cracked the egg, it was there. Big and pretty solid. I don't think it was just blood

Meat and blood spots are harmless but I choose to pick them out, either before or after cooking. Just not terribly appetizing!
