Egg layers wanted in Colorado

I am trying to find somewhere to buy some egg layers that are at least 17 wks old. Hoping to find Barred Rock but other good egg layers are welcome. I am in south central colorado but may be able to travel. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Have you checked your local craigslist or freecycle boards?? You might find some there.

Are you still looking for some laying hens? I am "adopting" 4 buff orpingtons that are 1 year old or so from a woman who is moving to the "city" and will no longer be able to keep them. I will be going to pick them up tomorrow evening in Longmont. I already have 12 pullets and 1 rooster (will be sold soon) and have some eggs in the bator! I am crazy, I'll admit it. I am a chicken addict! I would like to have two of them, but would be willing to part with two of them if you would like them.
