I am new to the world of chickens and eggs. My six have been laying very well for the past six weeks but in the last 3 -4 days they have come to an almost complete stop. It has gotten very hot in the past week here in Virginia as well. If it is really hot, do chikens slow down or stop laying?

Yes they will sometimes slow down.
Here in Aus we have peek months and slow months. It's all good. Goes with the seasons. Just enough eggs for us in the hot and pawning eggs off to everyone when we have far too many.

Thank you all. I am very much relieved and was pleased to find three eggs from my six girls yesterday.
