Hello all!
We have a chicken tractor that we move once a week to allow for better foraging while keeping them safe from predators. For a few days after we move the pens, our hens quit laying. Is this normal? Would a permanent coop be better for them?
Also, what about a regular coop with a moveable run? Would that still upset their egglaying routine?

We will be building more soon and we'd like to know the best way to go about this for egg production.
Thanks everyone!

Chickens stop laying when stressed out or in your case, when they go through change.

I like that idea but you'll have to experiment and see.

We have a tractor that we move every 2-3 days...it doesn't affect their laying....I don't know why? Maybe because we do it more frequently??
