Egg laying behaviors

Yes they are. The 'bulking up' may be slight or readily noticeable. It's all about observation.

I'll have to keep that in mind. Hopefully I can tell now that I'm aware. I feel like I hover over and fuss over them like a nervous hen. Lol

I have a pretty big Blue Swedish who was already kinda lazy to begin with (would find a comfy spot in the yard and lay down while the other duck would walk around). I thought I noticed she would lay down more often around when she started laying, I could just be over analyzing and she could still be behaving like normal (before the laying).

If I'm using duck eggs to make scrambled eggs I usually mix them with chicken eggs. Balances it out nicely.

If I had multiple eggs in my body growing at once with the relative size, I'd probably sit down more often too. Lol.

I thought about adding extra milk and butter too. Butter makes everything taste better.
