Egg Laying question

I have a trio of Wheaten Marans and the roo is crowing one of the hens is clucking and they are doing the wild thing but no eggs. Is this normal? Are eggs on their way?

Yes. How old are they.
Often the pullet will check out the nest box and sit in it several times before the first egg.

They are around 7-8 months and that is exactly what she does. She sits for hours and clucks and all then gets up walks around then gets back in the nest. Yesterday she didnt hardly move out of the nest at all when she did the roo attacked (poor thing, LOL) then back she went.

So glad I'm not a chicken.

We have named the roo Cujo because thats what he acts like sometimes. But she squats so..........its meant to be.
