Egg Laying Questions!

I have a Rock Dove that has been with me since she was a baby. Shes nearly a year old now and laid an egg a couple days ago. I was SO excited to find out she was a lady! I took the egg away (to preserve it). This morning she laid another egg. Since Im fairly new to pigeons/doves, I have a few questions maybe someone can help me with.

How often do rock doves/pigeons lay? She my only pigeon and has never had a mate. What causes them to lay with out a mate present? Should I let her keep her egg or remove them or give her fake eggs? She isnt very interested in sitting on her egg, but I dont want to encourage her to lay more.

How often do rock doves/pigeons lay? About every 6 weeks +- They ususually start in February and continue on until September. What causes them to lay with out a mate present? Maturity and good health. I dont want to encourage her to lay more. I usually boil the eggs and give them back to the pair. If not they can produce another clutch in 10 days with a mate.
