Hello everybody! I have some questions. Okay, so I have a barred rock roo, and I THINK a New Hampshire Red rooster (these are all chicks, so it's hard to tell). I also have a Rhode Island Red, Japanese Bantam, Buff Orpington, Brown Leghorn, Mottled Cochin, Bluebell (a bluebell mix, it has feathers on it's feet), White Leghorn, and Black Sex-Link (these are female). Does anybody know which combo when incubated would be best for show, and which combo would make an AWESOME egg layer? Thanks for your input!

There is such a thing as a bluebell, but, it's not a breed. It's a cross of RIR and Marans and is blue in color. Sold in the UK, so, yes, they are real, but, they are mutts to many persons.

i think they are pretty cool, i dont think we have too many pure bread chickens around anymore because of all the genetics and crazy breeding people are doing.. keep the breed alive

I DID look it up.They are mutts. A cross between Marens and RIR is not a breed. Just because someone names a cross doesn't make it a legitimate breed. They are listed as a hybrid.

I was talking to the person who said the name was made up for a mutt. It may be a hybrid, but the name wasn't randomly made up.
