My hens stopped laying about 2 weeks ago.
I noticed a lot of feathers in the coup.
Could they be molting at this time of the year
or is it something else? They get a lot of food and corn.

Yes, it very well could be a moult stopping your egg laying action.
I have several 8 months old moulting right now. From what I understand at 8 months old it's just a mini-moult. The full blown version comes around 18 months old. I can't imagine they will look much worse than they do right now.
The only good thing I've noticed is that those of mine that have already completed the process really only looked bad for about a week and a half. The feathers are growing back real fast.
