We have 3 chickens. One started laying the first of this month. A second one began laying 8 days later. The third on still has yet to drop one for us. any thoughts when she might start laying? Any advice appreciated.

Welcome to BYC.
Different birds mature at different rates - a little more information can help you gauge when you might expect eggs from your last bird. What breed(s) are your birds? How old are they (in weeks is best if under 1 year)? Can you post a photo of the birds? Assessing comb/wattle development and color is part of assessing nearness of production. Are your birds confined at all times or free ranging during part or all of the day?

The first to lay is a sexlink the second and third are both barred rock. All are now 6 months old.

The one who hasn't layer yet is VERY vocal too. Gripes all the time. They are in an enclosed coop but we let them into a larger area 2 to 3 times a day. They get a lot of attention regular feed and treats daily.

At 6 months of age it is likely you will see the third girl begin to lay in the next 2-6 weeks - she is just maturing a bit more slowly than the other two but is still very much in the normal age range for onset of production for her breed. Is that the bird in question I see in your avatar? If so, how long ago was the photo taken?
