I have a question for when my chickens will lay their first eggs. I got my chickens in may. They had their wing feathers and tail feathers in, but they were still chicks then. They are olive eggers. My rooster started crowing 2 or 3 months ago. when does molting season end, and when will my chickens lay eggs?

I got my chicks end of March/1st of April and one started laying 2 weeks ago, and the other started a week. 2 of my chicks still have not started laying yet.

They could start any time now, or they may not start until spring if you're in America. Sometimes first lays are delayed by winter and the lack of hormonal triggering, unfortunately.
The main external sign to look for is reddening combs. ;)

Agreed. Morning the comb is a dull red, by afternoon the red is bright, and she is squawking like crazy. Then she goes in and does her thing, and comes out, and later her comb is about dull red. It is crazy how it combs can change that fast.
