Egg laying

I have a Rhode Island red hen who is 36 weeks old who hasn't laid yet. All of her hen mates are the same age and have been laying since around 19-20 weeks. Their combs are pretty red and bigger, hers is still small and pale pink. She gets in the nesting box lays there for about 15 minutes gets up sings egg song and no egg. This has been going on for about a month. No health concerns super energetic always full crop happy hen. She isn't egg bound I have been checking every day. Is this normal? I've never had a hen go to this age and not be laying. I don't mind but I want to make sure she is okay physically.

Sounds as if she is just much slower at maturing. I wouldn't worry as long as everything else seems norma.

Yes she seems normal to me I hope it's just a slow process for her
