Do ducks act differently when they are going to lay? How old are they when they do lay? I have a khaki campbell mix and she is being very loud today, she is somewhere around 13/14 weeks not really sure.

If she is being loud and obnoxious...blame it on puberty.
She most likely wont lay until after 20 weeks, but all my girl ducks seem to hit this really LOUD stage around 12-14 weeks. Hormones no doubt.
My Welsh Harlequins are at that point now. Hope I am not pissing off the neighbors too much

I agree about the neighbors!!!!LOL That's my concern also. She seems to losing alot of feathers also, is that a sign of puberty?
