Egg Laying

What should i expect out of eggs from my chickens. I have 5 buff orpingtons, 2 black australorps, and one silver laced wyandotte. They are a year old. How many eggs should i expect out of them ??? I feed them M brand laying mash.

I would be expecting 5-6 eggs a day. They should be laying well by now, they should have started some where between 5-7 months.

Did you raise them or buy them? If you bought them they may be older than you think, but if they are under 2, I would still be expecting 5-6 eggs, over 2, then maybe 3-4 eggs a day.

Are you not getting any eggs?

I have on been getting mabye 4 to 5 eggs a day is that good for these hens

No artificial lighting?

If not, then for winter, that's pretty good. As the days lengthen, expect them to pick up a little.
