egg laying

I have a question I have a New Hampshire Red and a Buff Orpington they are 7 monthe old. the NHR has been laying for a month but the BO has not started laying. Is there a time difference for buffs to start laying.

Not trying to offer a "smart" answer, but the fact is they lay when they are ready and not a day earlier. If she still hasn't laid by 8 months, I'd be concerned, but not yet.

She does not crow But she is a hen i guess a late starter

As Fred said they are all unique. Prime example is my BOs, had one start right at 20 wks which I was shocked expected to be later and another start at 24wks and the last hasnt started yet coming on 27 wks.
