Egg laying

My hens are 6 1/2 months old. I bought 4 new hens, now one of my other hens hasn't layed in a week. I think she's a lakenvelder but all the pictures I've seen don't look like her. Why won't she lay?

Change. Chickens hate change. Disturbance in "the force" includes change of feed, change of coop, change in flock members, etc. Some breeds quit this time of year because they moult, if they are a year old. The sunlight has gotten incredibly short and many breeds won't lay until early spring, when the sunlight will again be adequate to spur them. Adding supplemental lighting for a few additional hours of light often helps.
