egg laying

what temature should my chicken pen be for a chicken to lay an egg a day?
my chickens are not laying much I have 200 chickens and i'm getting 14 eggs a day not good so i'm wondering if my chicken pen is to hot. any ideas or advice?

They can slow down or stop from heat stress. 100 degrees F is about their limit. If it is hot where you live and they are in an open pen without shade, and their coop is warmer than the temp in a shady spot, this is probably the reason.

They could be laying in hidden places if they are available. Predators such as snakes and skunks will eat the eggs.
