Egg like a bouncy ball

My hen laid an egg, it was fresh but it was squishy and it bounced like a bouncy ball, the shell was there but it wasn't hard like a shell.
Why did this happen?

They feel weird don't they? Had one of those and it was a shock when I first picked it up.
Actually, the shell isn't there only the membrane is.
Are they getting oyster shell for calcium?
Even with oyster shell, it can happen occasionally. Just a glitch at the egg factory.

Yeah we mix oyster shell in with their food.
