egg membrane in water dish???

Getting 4 eggs out of my 5 coturnix quail hens. However, the past two days there, looks to me, is an inner egg membrane in the waterer. I have zero clue about what is going on. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

It's a normal reaction to a hen being scared or overbred. She either wanted to clear her vent of foam and did so by pushing an un completed egg through the system or something scared her so she jettisoned it.
