These are my first chickens and ducks I have three hens and one mini Brock rooster just as background. They have just started laying my road island red has been laying beautiful solid eggs for a couple weeks, I think I'm getting one or two from the others little by little. Now here's why the post.... I just found an underdeveloped egg yolk and ( shel ) was a bag with liquid beside it 🤕 so sad! Does anyone know what's up?

New layers often have glitches in the system and lay weird eggs, including soft-shelled or shell-less eggs.

Usually time and maturity set things right. :)
I thought perhaps, and then I went on thinking does she need more layer feed, more calcium, things like that, or is this just the natural course of things. They didn't want the layer be very much at first,i but Incorporated in their other crumbles, little by little, actually had to put in the duck food because that's who they like to eat with LOL.

Thanks 😊 for your input
