Egg on the ground!! :S

well i got home this afternoon and found an egg on the ground, luckily it wasnt broken, but still?? I think one of the other chickens might have scratched it out by mistake? but is that normal, and if not what do i do??

we've been seeing this-we had a couple in the run and several on the coop floor. If the egg is fairly clean-ish I've been washing it but if it has a lot of poo I've tossed it. I have one that is consistently laying in the coop but not in the nests and if I find out who it is, she may be finding a new home. I didn't make my coop w/ outside nest access to have to go in the coop every day to hunt eggs.
