I bought one of those egg peelers I saw on a thread here. It's not really working like I thought it should. Any advice on using it or did I make a bad purchase?

Sorry to hear it doesn't work very well. It looked like a really cool gadget. Have you tried boiling your eggs with a little vinegar to soften up the shell? I bet it takes some tinkering to figure it out. You were the first brave one to buy it I think.

I haven't tried a peeler, but I have quail egg scissors and they are AWESOME!! They work like a charm!

I only tried boiling my quail eggs once for my daughter's school lunch and I did add a splash of vinegar to the water. They were so easy to peel - much quicker than chicken eggs for sure: not sharp, soft shells and came off in ribbons peeling around the egg and most times came off in one single swoop.
