Egg peeping but no pipping...? Help!

Okay so my egg started peeping on day 18 and it is day 19 and no pipping.. Is this normal? Also do I have to turn the temperature down in one the last 3 days till hatching, and if so what temperature.. Is it needed, does it have to be turned down?
And I wanted to ask about how long can a chick breathe in it's air sac before the air supply runs out? Thanks.

This is normal. You only turn the temp down enough to maintain 99.5 degrees, otherwise I'd leave it alone, sometimes it doesn't need adjusted. I rarely have to adjust mine. A chick can breathe just fine, because the shells are porous anyway. Sounds like you're a bit nervous, it'll be fine! Try to just enjoy the process.

Okay, so my egg finally pipped a few hours ago... It has not made anymore progress since then and its been a few hours.. So when will they keep continuing .

Sometimes it takes 24 hours or more, really you just need to keep busy and be patient...Goodluck Iknow, easier said than done,lol!
