Egg peritonitis again? Not again!

still no eggs (which for me is a relief, maybe she needs time to recover in full).

no eggs today, she seems to be eating and drinking fine. still isolated.

today I saw her eating and egg. it was with a transparent and very soft shell.

what should I do now? is the chicken sentenced to die?

today she layed an egg wwith shell. it was not perfectly round but at least the shell was solid.

another big egg today, once more not perfectly round. I released her with the remaining flock.

Did you do anything to treat this one? Glad it looks like she's doing better!

Having a separate dish of oyster shell available is always a good idea, even when feeding a layer feed. You are adding extras, which may alter the balanced nutrition in the layer feed.
She may only need more calcium and fewer treats!
Many high producing hens (and others!) develop fatal reproductive problems, sadly. I hope she's okay.
My youngest was a cute bantam purebred Ameraucana, who died at about six months of age,
never laying a single egg, and with peritonitis.
