Egg peritonitis

our pet khaki Campbell just had surgery yesterday. She removed yolk that had adhered to organs and had to repair air sacks. Vet also gave her a implant to stay off egg laying. Although this is temporary and unsure about how we will proceed with continuing this She's doing well this morning and we pick her up later today
Anybody out there have experience with this. We love our girl so much and are hoping for the best
