Ok! I'm a tad bit confused. I had a female duck that laid really smooth white eggs. I don't have any chickens that lay eggs like this. This past weekend, I sold my ducks. So, no more smooth white eggs, right? Well, when I got home today, I had 12 eggs and one looked JUST LIKE the eggs my female duck laid. My hens lay brown, dark brown, blue and green. So how do I have an egg from one of my chickens that looks like a duck egg?

Maybe it was hiding under bedding or one of your hens had a bad pigment day. Stress can affect pigment application. Was it pure white?
When I got home from work, I collected all of the eggs and this one wasn't in there. I had to run to town real quick and I checked again when I got back. There were 3 more eggs and one of them was the white one. It's pure white. I didn't have this kind until I got my duck. My chicken eggs aren't rough but they feel different from the duck eggs.
